About

The walk

After a throw-away comment whilst stuck in a traffic jam on a long car journey about how "it would be quicker to get out and walk" - the idea developed that we would do just that.

The challenge in 2015 is to complete the London to Brighton Trek - 100km within 30 hours.

It's happening on the 27-28 June 2015 and is organised by, and raising money for, the British Heart Foundation.

In 2013 we completed a 250 mile walk from London to Totnes and in 2014 walked from Totnes to Lands End.  The stories and pictures on this blog are mostly from these two epic walks.

This blog is for keeping track of where we've been and where we're going next...

The original London to Totnes Walk

We both live in London and previously lived in Totnes. We often drive the route to Devon, zooming past most of the countryside without time to take it in. The challenge of this long walk has always appealed to both of us as the ultimate "slow" journey to Totnes from London.

Here's the blog post (from February 2013) about the motivation behind the original walk: Why Are We Doing This?.
